Your choice to share

Submitting uses your Cinema Scout account and public author details.

Reviewed before publishing

New and edited contributions wait for review before appearing publicly.

Share useful, honest experiences

  • Keep posts about films, theatres, formats, seating, accessibility or a related cinema visit.
  • Describe your own experience clearly. Include the venue, hall or date when it helps, and distinguish an opinion, an estimate and a confirmed fact.
  • Use tags to make posts easier to find. Flag spoilers in the title or tags before discussing plot details.
  • For a specification correction, include a source or explain what you observed. A community submission does not immediately change the cinema catalogue.

Respect people and their privacy

  • No threats, harassment, hate speech, discriminatory abuse, sexual exploitation or graphic violent content.
  • Criticise the experience without attacking staff or other visitors. Do not impersonate a person, cinema or official representative.
  • Do not share passwords, sign-in codes, admission QR codes, barcodes, booking references, contact details or someone else’s private information.
  • Only share text and photos you have permission to use. Avoid identifiable strangers in photos, especially children, unless you have appropriate permission.
  • No spam, scams, misleading promotions, illegal material or instructions to bypass cinema admission.

Know what becomes public

Saving a private profile does not publish it. When you submit a post or reply, you separately accept these rules and choose to share a snapshot of your display name, handle and optional profile photo with that contribution. Your profile bio, sign-in email, bookings and private notes are not included.

Approved text, ratings, tags and a chosen post photo are public, including to people without an account. Readers can save or share what they see. Check the entire submission before sending it, and do not include information you want to keep private.

You keep ownership of your contribution. By submitting it, you give Cinema Scout permission to store, review and display it with its public author details to operate the community. You can edit or delete your own contributions. Editing sends the new version back for review. Deleting a post also removes its live reply thread; it cannot erase copies someone has already saved.

Changing your private profile does not automatically replace author snapshots on older contributions. The privacy policy explains public content, reports and account deletion in more detail.

How moderation works

At launch, new posts, replies and edits wait for moderator review. Text and any chosen photo are checked before publication. A submission can be rejected or removed if it breaks these rules, reveals personal information or needs clarification. Repeated abuse can lead to restrictions on posting.

Approval is not verification of every claim, a cinema’s endorsement or confirmation of seat availability. Reviews remain the author’s experience and opinion. There is no guaranteed publication time.

Report a problem or block an account

Use a post or reply’s menu to report harassment, misinformation, a privacy problem, spam or another issue. Signed-in users can also block an account to hide its content in their feed and manage blocked accounts from Community. Blocking is a viewing control; public contributions may still be visible to someone browsing without that account.

Reports are private to the service and its moderators; they are not published beside the contribution. If you cannot use the in-app report action, email akkshobramkumar@outlook.com with the post title, author handle and a description. Do not send sign-in codes, passwords or unredacted ticket codes.

You can use the same address to ask about a moderation decision or a removal request. For ticket payments, refunds and admission problems, contact the cinema or ticket seller directly.
